oBolaji Abdullahi sacked as Sports Minister, Tamuno Danagogo takes over

President Goodluck Jonathan, today sacked Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi as the Minister of Sports and replaced him with Dr. Tamuno Danagogo. Abdullahi was appointed as the Minister of Youth Development by Jonathan in July 2011. He is said to have performed above average since he assumed office, and has been widely praised for his pro-active and youth-friendly approach. Recall that Abdullahi has recently been criticised by Nigerian lawmakers for abandoning the Ministry’s budget defence for an overseas’ trip.
